Cane Fresh is committed to supplying healthy and nutritional alternatives to its consumers. While Cane Juice is the first of its initiatives, the company has now started supplying evaporated cane sugar and unrefined sugar (jaggery) at our parlours.
- Unrefined sugar – also called Jaggery - is the first product obtained when sugarcane juice is boiled and processed. Other downstream products obtained by processing cane or cane juice include molasses, ethanol and bagasse. Jaggery is a healthier alternative than white, refined sugar, and has always been consumed in India and various parts of the world, as a sweetening agent. Consumers can look forward to attractively packed, blocks of jaggery being sold at our Parlours. Retailers who would like to sell this at their stores can contact us for more information.
- Evaporated Cane Sugar – also called Dehydrated Cane Sugar – is obtained from molasses that is heated and concentrated upto 75°, made into bricks and pulverized. It’s then broken into granules and cubes. Just like with jaggery, here too, no chemicals are added for clarification or refining, making it one of the purest forms of unrefined sugar. This will sold in our parlours under the brand name – Cane-a-panela.
Cane-a-Panela is different from white sugar and brown sugar not only in its physical appearance but in its chemical composition. In addition to sucrose, glucose and fructose, it contains various minerals, fats, vitamins and protein compounds, making it the most nutritional form of sugar. It has anti-anemic, anti-oxidant, anti-cholesterol, anti-aging and anti-cancer properties. Cane-a-panela is a 100% natural, 100% organic sweetener that can be used in food, beverages and confectionery industries.
